Asos swimwear launches its first swimwear collection

Asos is set to launch its first line of swimwear, which it describes as “a bold and bolder way to look good”.

The brand’s swimwear range is designed with women in mind and will be available in a range of styles from swimwear tops to swimwear bottoms, including an assortment of swimsuit bottoms.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Asos head of design Sam McIlroy said that the collection would be a “bold and boldier way to LOOK GOOD”.

“This is something we think women want,” he said.

The collection will be unveiled in mid-March at the first-ever Asos Swimwear Fashion Week, and the brand is also hoping to introduce a “swimwear” in-store concept to the brand’s website in April. “

It’s really important that we get the women that want a bolder, more vibrant and bold way to BE CREATIVE in our lives.”

“A lot of people don’t realise that when you put on a swimsuit you can actually make a difference to your body,” McIlray told the Wall Street Review.

“But what we’ve been doing is actually looking at what we do in terms of our clothes, where the materials are and what our processes are and seeing what they’re actually like for women.”

McIlry is also keen to get women into the sport of swimming and is hoping that the brand will help them make the transition to the water.

“The thing about women’s swimming is that it’s a great way to get away and get some exercise,” he told the Journal.

Asos launched its first range of swimsuits in 2014, which included a range featuring the brand ‘Sensory’. “

There’s so much about it, it’s not just about looking good but about feeling good, and we want to encourage that as well.”
